Nadia Fares looking good for Storm Warning!

French actor Nadia Fares has been approached for the lead role of Pia in Storm Warning. She has the right mix for the demanding role of Pia and after a phone hook-up with her last week she has some great ideas on how to handle the character. Jamie and Nadia will meet in the next few weeks to take it to the next step.

I'll keep you posted but it's exciting to have a international actor potentionally on-board, makes it easier to sell the film as well as making the film more interesting. Feels like a real movie!

Slap the header to check out Nadia.

Well, here we go. This is the first of what I hope will be a continuous stream of information regarding my first feature film as producer, "STORM WARNING".

I'm not sure what these updates will consist of, I figure we'll find that out as we go along, much like the rest of this bog. What I do hope is that this will be less of a sell for the film and more good ol' fashioned reporting from the trenches with lots of stuff that might be of interest.

First off, just the facts:

Storm Warning is the 14th feature film from Australia's master of horror, Everett De Roche. Everett's script is a corker that has brought together a great team to make it happen.

The film will be directed by Australia's other master of horror, Jamie Blanks. Jamie burst onto the Hollywood film scene with his first feature, Urban Legend. With over a US$100 mill at the box office and nearly that again in DVD we are in good hands. What's exciting about this film for Jamie is that this will be his first film out of the studio system (he also directed Valentine). We are committed to bringing his vision to the screen without the interference that comes with the studio system.

The budget is set at AUD$4.2 Mill, we are shooting Hi Def, which will be the source of many an entry and we're shooting it all in Melbourne.
